Easy Homemade Cinnamon Roll From Scratch

This classic version of cinnamon rolls needs more hands to make it perfect. They have sweet, fluffy, soft, buttery flavors topped with cheese cream frosting.

Ingredients
  

For Dough

  • 5 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 4 1/2 tsp Instant Yeast
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 Egg
  • 6 tbsp Unsalted Butter

For Filling

  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter (at room temperature)

Frosting Cream Cheese

  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter (at room temperature)
  • 2 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions
 

Dough Making

  • In a medium-size bowl, whisk all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast together and combine them well. Set aside.
  • Take another heatproof small bowl combine milk, water and butter together.  Microwave or steamed orheat them until the butter is melted and the mixture is get warm. 
  • Now pour the melted mixture (not so hot) into the dry ingredients and then add the egg.
  • Now stir and knead the mixture until form a soft and moist dough. For this process you can also used hand mixture as well.
  • Without giving much force and using flour on hand knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
  • Now grease another bowl with oil, place the dough in it, cover loosely and let rest for about 30 minutes or more.

Filling Making

  • After 30 minutes, take out the dough from bowl and knead for30 seconds more. Now roll the dough out in a 14×8 inch rectangular shape.
  • Spread the melted soft butter on top of the dough. Do some mixing sugar and cinnamon together. Sprinkle it all over the dough.
  • Now roll the dough tightly to make a 14-inch log. By using a knife or any cutter, cut the dough roll into 10-12 rolls. And arranged in a lightly greased cake pan or pie dish.

Wait For Dough Rising

  • Now cover the rolls with some aluminum sheets or foils or any plastic wraps and let them allow to rise in a warm environment for about 60-90minutes.

Baking Rolls

  • After 90 minutes, when rolls get double in size preheat the oven at 375°F (195°C). Now bake for about 25 minutes until getting slightly browned texture.

Making Cheese Cream Frosting

  • In a medium-size bowl, beat confectioners like sugar, cream cheese, unsalted butter, and vanilla extract together until frosting gets smooth’s.
  • Now remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for 20 minutes. Drizzle or spread this creamy cheesy frosting over the cinnamon rolls and serve well.

Notes

  • If the rolls get brown before 25 minutes simply used foil paper to cover the rolls and keep continue baking.
  • Leftover frosted or frosted rolls can be stored for up to 3 days in an air-tight container at room temperature of up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
  • For serving guests, make a dough the night before by simply rolling and spreading butter and all and cover them tightly to get rise well in the refrigerator overnight. Make sure to remove the rolled dough out from the refrigerator at least 1 hour before baking.
  • Whole milk goes perfect for this recipe, but if you have nondairy or powder milk. Just used it.
