- 7-8 Mint Leaves
- 2 Lemon/Lime Sliced (medium size)
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Lemon Zest/Black Salt/Rock Salt (as required)
- 6 tbsp Powdered Sugar
- 5-6 Ice Cubes
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1.5 cup Sprite/Soda/Sparkling Water
- Polo Candy (optional)
First cut the limes into quartz.
Now squeeze the juice minus the seed with the help of a squeezer or by using your palm.
Now gently add some water and sugar powdered into the lime juice.
Give it a good mix and keep stirring until sugar dissolves.
Add cumin powder and black salt, give a good mix, now keep this lime mixture aside.
Take ΒΌ of lime syrup and pour half a glass of soda/sprite/sparkling water.
If you are using limca except of soda then use less of lime sugar syrup, as limca or lemon are already contain sweet.
Now add ice cubes along with mint leaves and lemon slices if using.
Now garnish the glass with some cut mint leaves as well and serve the fresh virgin mojito chilled.
- If the syrup still remains, then preserve in the fridge for future use.
- Soda/sprite/sparkling water all goes well with this recipe, so feel free to use any of them.
- Black salt/lemon zest both works same in virgin mojito.
- Alternatively you could mix everything into a large vessel. Then serve them into glasses, however as I prefer this way else the soda loses its fizz soon.
- Use the sugar and salt as per your own discretion.
